SOLC 11- The Grammar Police

The Grammar Police
I must admit I am one, but they can still be annoying. I correct people all the time, and their corrections may seem quite cloying. They walk around, every day, trying to do some fixing. Who cares if it is They're, their, or there, the words are always easy to be mixing. I corrected my math teacher today, erase the apostrophe I said. As he had written it's, instead of its, please fix it, as it is filling me with dread. For when something is not quite right, the police must step in. And if fixing your grammar is what's right then they will always win.
Hold on, I just got pulled over by the grammar Nazi.
"Yes, sir. Everything is correct, and orderly."
(See what I did there?)
They can be quite pesky, they follow you around like flies. For when something is incorrect a part of me dies. Things should be quite orderly, and it bugs me if they're not. So why if it is not followed, is it always taught? For in preschool, kindergarten, and 1st-12th grade, it is always shown what grammar is here to do. An apostrophe may bug me because by a student it is misconstrued. The Grammar Police come whenever you aren't thinking. With your work they do some tinkering. To fix all of the incorrect commas and apostrophes, and other pesky errors. So when I see a misused semicolon, with the wrong information it conveys, during it's reign of terror.

Now that the rhyming is done, something you don't have to sweat. Now remember to never misplace a comma, and to never have it be offset.
Now, I need to go vanquish my mortal enemy.
