Entrapment (Part three of my story)

Before reading this, I recommend you go back and read the first two parts so this one makes sense.

Looking around, I could see no easy way to escape. The hatch through which we entered has slid back down and camouflaged itself back into the circle, so I couldn't see it. The small skylight at the top was about 15 feet above me, so no luck there. I stepped away from the pole carefully, not knowing if there was a trap waiting for me. Luckily, there wasn't. I made circles around the room, feeling the sides and walls for seams or weak points, but to no avail.

I tried running straight up the wall, and I repeatedly exhausted myself in the endeavor, but again, to no avail. I cursed under my breath, having no clue. I rested against the pole, pondering my conundrum. With a burst of energy, I got off of the ground, and ran up the wall one final time, just to make sure of the impossibility. I got the farthest I have ever gotten before, and when I reached the peak of my ascent a small red line appeared in front of me with a loud "Ankh!" Aha, there is something he wants to scare me away from. This must mean that their is something he wants to keep me from, but what...

I wondered and wondered, but looking around the globe I couldn't find anything that would make sense. A sudden darkness unexpectedly draped the room, and it was pitch black, even the skylight didn't give any light. The only light that seemed apparent was now the one outside of the globe, which couldn't be real, because it was made out of white glass, so I couldn't see through it. But the glow was still there, and outlined against it was a system of thousands of packed together similar sized spheres. Each sphere had a human like outline against the outside of it, like there were many other prisoners like me. Each cell touched at the sides slightly, and I ran up to the connection, which I could barely reach.

There was a small figure in the one next to me, who was huddled up against the floor who was shaking. I tried to pound on the side, but no sound escaped. I looked to the other side, and there wasn't anyone there. I looked down, but the light was blinding, so I couldn't see anything. The figure started to get up, and I ran back to that side, but the light was dimming, and it shut off right before I could reach them. All that was left was the inner glow of the sphere, and the outer light had vanished, and there wasn't even a glimmer of light in the depths. It really seems like there is no escape from here.
